Hypnodisk is clearly the best entry ever.

Yeah, Hypno Disc was far less spectacular against enemies with decent armour, whereas Razer had NINE TONNES OF CRUSHING POWER! Even the house robots acted timidly around it!

I can't believe we actually thought we could build one when we were at school... oh well, gave me something to draw designs for in Maths.

I think it's actually Jonathan Pierce, who is now one of the main BBC football commentators.

I went to go see Robotwars once, I saw Hypnodisk being unveiled for the first time, it might actually be that video, I remember being totally blown away by Hypno, it was the best robot I had ever seen.

I went to watch it in London somewhere, although I don't think it was a televised one. I remember seeing Chaos 2 (which I despised) and Razer... but no Hypnodisc. I couldn't believe how BIG they all were!!

I just always hated how boring it was - true it was an excellent machine with a truly potent weapon, but I always found the wedge + flipper approach as dull as ditch water.

Yeah it was a damn good machine but I agree with James, the wedge designs just aren't half as entertaining as some of the more interesting robots!

I loved watching robots getting flipped on their arse, or flipping back up.
