I know that the government seems to fuck up all over the place, don't quite agree with some of your statements about "tokenism" but to be honest, having a BNP government really doesn't bare thinking about and would be astronomically worse than what we have now imo (and I should hope most people's..).

But yeah, the political system needs shaking up, no one trusts MPs at all.. There are MPs who are decent people I'm sure, but there isn't enough transparency and yeah, your view of them probably sums up a lot of people's...

last but not least,after me dozing off and being told to leave by a bouncer in a wetherspoons,i was up for leaving quietly and co-operatively,with minimal fuss/no backchat etc then at one point he said "look at you in your motorhead hoodie,what are ya,some kind of tough guy rebel?" i replied "whats that got to do with anything?" and he just followed it with "coz your a dick mate".so thats when i decided to play his little game and call him a "bald twat,bully".
so i got thrown into the outside metal fence.obviously he can dish out insults but cant take em(either that or he just likes provoking people who have had a drink so that he can look big and tough and have an excuse to sort em aht)
anyway i went back to the entrance(after waiting for the perfect moment)and gave him a punch in the side of his fat bald head(while he was busy showing off and telling his 2colleagues about kicking me out)and it resulted in a long night in a cell for me(plus a 5yr caution).something i dont see as 'a laugh' but a fucking pointless example of how one arseholes discriminating can cause unecessary injustice.ive said about this in the past but its still relevant to how things have become and how there are pricks in life who want to abuse their power no matter how high up they are.
this happened locally nearly 3years ago and i havent had an incident like that since.anyway the point is,that there are some people who want conflict no matter how or why and they are the cunts in society.

this is the problem with politics while we argue over extremes the goverment keep passing more and more draconian laws, and we don't notice cause we're to busy worrying about wankers who don't matter.

In a world sense we are actually quite lucky to have a say who runs the country, compared to a lot of places like China...if you think of complaining they can make you disappear. But saying that this system is broken though its never really been fixed or worked, the divine rule of kings was ended by years of civil war only to replace with something just as bad and worse with Cromwell. The biggest factor in the fall of governments is the human condition of greed, even communism falls victim with the party leaders being more equal than their people, nice idea but it has never worked or going to work.
The BNP are stupid, they base their whole policies around this racist ideal that immigration has crushed this country when in fact after the second world war a lot of people had died and the country needed people. Even today people are too "proud" to work in a factory that pays little and they would rather be a celebrity than actually contributing to the country which means that immigration actually still helps, obviously its not a good idea to have it completely unchecked. Though the scary thing is the BNP could easily recreate the rise of the Nazis in a sense they have this immigration scapegoat, lack of trust in the government and all they needed is just some evil mind that can take a smart advantage of all this discrimination to rise to power.
I voted, i think its still an important thing, i would rather have the choice than not even if i don't believe in the system. Though apathy is a real problem that needs to be looked at. If everybody just keeps living in their own bubble, ignoring world events and history the world would fall in on its self. If Gahndi felt his actions would do nothing, didn't believe in the system and just went sod this i can't be bothered then India would still be under a brutal rule or could have fell into war. Voting initially may not have immediate effects but voting in this election was more a statement of i don't like the current form of rule instead of voting for a party itself.
