What's up with the TOXIK reissue?

Postby Bloodkrishna on Wed Nov 22, 2006 3:23 pm

First I heard Displeased Rec. will reissue Both Toxik few months ago,

then
last month I heard that Metal Mind Pro. will reissue that two cds too!
In the web site saying they will reissue both Toxik albums on Nov.

I'm not sure is that both label will reissue it or one of them???

I just check out Dispelased
It said will out on Feb. 07

If all of them reissue the album
Displeased one I guess wil be a jewel Case Version
and Metal Mind comes with a digi fucking

but is that possible that two label to reissue an old Roadrunner release nearly at the same time?

damn I'm confused!

One of them bought the rights to a lot of the RRR albums, e.g., Violent By Nature, Victims of Deception, and both Toxik albums.

There was a thread about it on the Heathen board that I'll look for later.

I heard that Metal Mind bought the rights, right?
but how can Displeases reissue that?
Atrophy both albums are out now in Displeased now as I check from Dis. site!

oh Heathen Board, haven't check for a WHILE!

yeah it does'nt make sense we wait years for these re-releases then 2 labels do it at the same time! my nephew got the displeased version of atrophy-vbn.there's no extra tracks, although the sound is better than on the original. However the metal mind advert for it says 3 demo tracks + video, but does'nt say if it's remastered.i fancy updating some of my original cds with re-mastered,extra tracks but dont no which label will do the best version!if anybodys bought any(toxik, xentrix etc) please let me know.

From what I understand the Metal Mind re-releases are all in Digi pack format and limited to 2,000 copies with bonus tracks (I have the Xentrix, Toxik ones) and I also have the Atrophy re-releases on Displeased and they are in Jewel cases with no bonus tracks. So I assume it's the bonus tracks and Digi/Jewel format that makes these different.

Also Displeased made a cock up of the "Socialized Hate" CD by mixing up some tracks and putting a couple of tracks from "Violent by Nature" on the disc itself, however the Inserts and tracklistings is correct from "Socialized Hate"

Yip they are worth it alright, I believe that the "Socialized Hate" track problem has been fixed, If you have a Credit card or anyone elses for that matter, the best place is to get them from the Displeased site itself, exchange rate works out well too.

They sure do and postage rates are real low also which is nice to see, I've just ordered a copy of the Overkill CD single "Old School" set to be released in a month or so but have to get in there early.

THe reason that both metal mind and displeased records have realsed these reisuses is that roadrunner sold the rights to anyone one who would buy them with out setting up regions !
do farts have lumps in them

ACTUALLY THE METAL MIND REISSUES ARE ONLY FOR POLAND (METAL MIND IS A POLISH LABEL) AND THE DISPLEASED ONES ARE FOR THE EUROPEAN CONTINENT. PREFER TO BUY THE METAL MIND REISSUES. I HEARD THE ATROPHY REISSUES FROM DISPLEASED AND THEY ARE NOT REMASTERED, NO BONUS TRACKS, NO NOTHING. BUT THE METAL MIND REISSUES ARE REMASTERED WITH THREE BONUS TRACKS EACH AND VIDEO.

I was naughty and downloaded the two Toxik albums from the net. The same for Toxic Shock, Pariah, Atrophy and a fair few others.
Just until I can get hold of the originals.

I'm only getting the releases on metal mind- nice digipacks, cool remastered sound and bonus tracks! Just got Heathen "victims..." cd forgot how damn good it is!!! I,ve noticed its been gettin really good reviews, yet when it came out it got slagged off.then off course it was all death metal and thrash was been dismissed as out of date!It just shows if you wait long enough people will start appreciating good music again!!!
