I'm not going to vote. But I wouldn't be so quick to write off Kill Em All, just think how good it was at the time, and how many classic tracks are on there. Of course, the exact same thing could be said for the Exodus album, but I think Bill used the term "personality", which I think sums up the attitude of Metallica's debut.

As for ...Justice, I've always considered it quite a flop, I don't see what the fuss is about. Blackened is one of their best tracks for me, but then...wa-wa-wa-waaaaaaaargh.

Justice is shite barring Blackened really. Why play 6 riffs for 12 minutes?! It's just not cricket.

And as for Master of Puppets; the album has a fucking waltz on it and it isn't toxic.

Don't get me wrong, I love Exodus to bits. Infact I'd rate them better overall than Metallica. But you just CAN'T dismiss their first two albums and still call yourself a Thrasher. No matter how shite the band has become.

thats a load of balls Barry, i've never liked metallica and i never will, there is no way that that means i cant call myself a Thrasher. there was much better Thrash out at the same time as metallica they were just in the right place at the right time. getting rid of Mustaine was there biggest mistake. they are in no way a band that defines a true thrasher

To be honest, last time I saw Slayer they were pretty boring. The songs were good, apart from the borefest from GHUA, but something was definitely lacking in the delivery.
