Vote EVILE to support MEGADETH
Moderators: James, Craig, Resilience Records
Got a couple of my mates to vote but they're still in joint second. A few more of my mates are still to do it though. Fingers crossed
One piece of good news. It looks like they're supporting Dark Tranquillity in February.
I may drop in.

It took me ages to register my vote. The screen took nearly five minutes to load.
I'm going to the Brum one.

I don't really like these 'competitions to be famous' sort of things, but I like Evile so I voted, and I know they're genuine boys so it's all nice.

People can say all they want about me supporting the 'scene', but I can tell you right now that things like this damage it more than anything else.
Explanation?

Because the majority of bands in these competitions won't have done anything to earn their place supporting a band as massive as Megadeth. It's all down to how many friends they have and how good they are at whoring. And thus all the shit whore-bands will become more successful and ruin the thrash scene, which is basically how popular music gets ruined. For example, The X Factor. I'm not saying this is necessarily true of all the bands - I know Evile are great boys and have worked hard at being great, and watching them live you can see how hard they practice, they're as tight a mother's big boys. But I do hate these things. Iron Maiden didn't support Judas Priest in 1982 because they won an internet competition, they worked fucking hard and became the best band in the world because of it.
