Red Dwarf

Postby Atom on Wed Jan 17, 2007 9:43 pm

Fuck, I have been watching Red Dwarf for the past few days on this illegal TV website thing and watching it brought back so many memories of when I saw it as a young un and how much I love it.

Rimmer is the most fucking amazing character ever, hes such a smeg head but hes so funny at the same time, Kryten is fucking killer too. I cant believe how amazing some of the stories and scripting is, the plots they come up with are ridiculous.

I love the Inquistitor episode, amazing stuff.

Anyone else dig it?

Yeah smeg head!

Some of the insults they come out with are so fucking awesome.

I love the imagery they use and of course the fucking classic themetune.

I loved Red Dwarf but was really disappointed with the 8th and, to a lesser extent, 7th series. It was a brilliant show and actually revolved around some kind of plot rather than just being mindless patter.

Up there with some of the best imo.

Red Dwarf is bloody amazing.

I love the quarantine episode. so dark and hilarious.

yeah series 7 and 8 really were quite disapointing.

has anybody read the books? the are less laugh out loud funny, but make for increadible sci-fi reading indeed. its really interesting seeing how they converted the books into the TV series (or the other way around?!)

And Red Dwarf has introduced a lot of ideas that have been pimped by film makers.

I love alluc.org! I downloaded every series of Red Dwarf whilst I was in halls. We had an FTP thing set up. Every episode in like 3 minutes. Bloody love it, a genuinely classic british comedy man. I hate the way people always pick up on the plot holes and stuff though. No one bloody cares!

I love the episode where they can change their DNA and they accidentally make the chicken vindaloo monster. I watched it once coming down from mushrooms... it was a whole lot scarier then!
