I wouldn't find it embarrassing at all, because I would take it as them trying to make it a rival and raise the tension, making the overall atmosphere of the match more exciting.

Good fight, Hatton kept going for it right up until he got knocked out. He's still great.

WHAT? I thought the crowd was great, would have loved to be there! I thought it was particularly funny seeing as how that singer butchered the US anthem with her laboured RnB cacophony. No match for Tom Jones!

I listened to it on Radio 5 Live when I got back from the farsical Wastestock - it didn't start until close to 5am!! Wasn't really the same as watching the action, but it was still pretty exciting.

It sounds like the predictable thing happened - the accuracy of Mayweather and his slippery ability to avoid so many punches just took their toll over time. Plus it didn't sound like Hatton was having a good time from the referee.

The commentators seemed to conclude that Hatton is not really a welterweight, but a light welterweight, and Mayweather was just too spot on for Hatton's more brutish style.

I was really disappointed, because I really wanted Mayweather to get DESTROYED after watching that arrogant, greedy twat in all the build ups. Hatton was the true honest underdog, and kept a sense of humour throughout.

I think he did England proud though, along with the 20,000 fans who made Mayweather appear the stranger in his own home town.

I saw Hatton on the sports personality awards a minute ago, he looked like a potato.
