Anyone have any technique tips specific to 5-string basses or tailored to 4-string players adjusting to 5-strings? I'm trying to use my Fender as much as possible to get myself used to the neck thickness but I can't seem to get it sounding as sweet as my Akai bass
Not many of the songs I listen to use a 5-string, and I usually "practise" (I use the term loosely) by jamming along to the tracks I'm listening to, so I want to get listening to some 5-string bass!

For my six string i just tend to work out scales over octaves, i can link you to a well recommended book as well.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.
