Hordes of Chaos
Anyone picked it up yet? Got it t'other day, and I'm finding it all rather enjoyable, better than Enemy of God, and it's nice to see albums are starting to be recorded live again. So... New Kreator album, discuss.

Re: Hordes of Chaos
I think its alright not brilliant tho. Compared with how Testaments and Onslaughts recent albums its not good at all....but yea its ok.
It's got some nice riffs and the production is very good, i do like that they recorded some of it live, but after a while i find the album just got...a bit boring. About mid way through i as bored of it and wanted to turn something else on but struggled through.
Warcurse is by far my favourite song!

I haven't listened to it and don't plan to, but one thing I hate is how the last three Kreator full lengths have had totally shit cover art based on the same bland "spiky face" concept. If it's an attempt to forge some sort of mascot then it is certainly a lame one, they should have left the Coma of Souls face in the past as a good idea, and moved on.

Re: Hordes of Chaos
the first main riff in the title track is a very happy/gay version of a cross between arise/blackened.

It's not bad, but not better than EoG. I don't like the production on it, kinda shitty to be honest

I quite like it, but yeah, you're right about his vocal style, it's gone a bit shit.

Ah fair game, not a very beloved album. I like it though, pretty well written in my opinion, wouldn't say its worse than Testaments latest offering, I didn't care for quite a lot on that album.

Its getting an 8/10 from me. Not as good as Enemy of God, but good nonethless. As Ol said though, Devolution shits on it.

Yeah, they are about even in my opinion. Which is to say i love them.
I quite liked enemy of god even if it was a bit samey through out. I'm not sure i would say this is better.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Re: Hordes of Chaos
I agree enemy was very samey, wasnt awful tho, for sure a GOOd album, i just think Hordes is great. Not as great as endless pain - coma of souls, but the best since then for me. It's heavier and faster the enemy so i've no complaints there.
