That new song they are still playing is GAY. Obviously Rick Rubin's magic touch isn't that magic if that piece of crap is making it to the new record

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I'd have probably gone had Machine Head always been supporting. BAH!

That is the first gig i have ever been to where i have had mixed feelings. At some points it was pure bliss, ( I cried with joy when they played Orion) at others i was really disinterested.
The show kept getting broken up for really really really amazing parts by the odd song that i just don't enjoy. However that's not to say that it was not a really good show, just my view on the songs.
Shot some video so i will upload it to jewtube at some point, be warned i am quite a way back but the sounds is fairly good. Minus my brother's bad singing (he did the filming)

Bloody amazing, good lord! Apart from The Memory Remains (which was at least hilarious, so it wasn't all bad), and No Leaf Clover, which although at first was a pleasant surprise, actually ended up being really boring. And I still think Sad But True is one of the most overrated songs ever. But apart from that, it was a fucking blinding show. So many amazing songs! And it didn't feel like a 2 and a half hour set, it went really quickly. One was as amazing as I hoped it would be with all the brilliant pyro during the intro (which incidentally broke one of the screens on stage), ...And Justice For All was wonderful (despite a completely still crowd that really pissed me off with their complete lack of energy and excitement except for when the bloody black album songs were played), Disposable Heroes was amazing, and obviously Orion, Master of Puppets and Battery were glorious. The only upset really was that we didn't get Ride The Lightning or Sanitarium, which I was really looking forward to. But in the grand scheme of things it really didn't matter, and the fact they finished off the gig with Whiplash and Seek and Destroy was fucking amazing! It was just a generally great performance. That's the thing about Metallica - you can say what you like about the recent shit music they've been making, but they're still one of the best live bands around, and tehre's no way you can deny that!
Missed Mastodon, but Machine Head were quite laughable. Me and Stu had a grand old time dancing to our old favourites Take My Scars and Davidian, but we were just laughing at Rob Flynn through the rest of the set. "Holy fuck!", "Oh my fucking god!", "Drink beer!" and such like. And we were so far back we couldn't really hear what was going on half the time anyway. HIM were just really fucking boring, I don't actually remember anything about them because I just wasn't listening to them at all, we just found some empty seats at the back to sit down in and had a chat through their entire set.
And there you go. Lovely.

Brilliant. Bloody brilliant. Nothing new to add really. One was amazing. The pyros at the begining created the perfect atmosphere.
I'll back up Jon on saying that the crowd were shit where we were. We sarted off near the back, but the sound was really shit, so we had to keep moving forward. Where ever we stopped for a song or 2, we realised that no one was moivng at all. This is a Metallica gig for fucks sake!
To clolse my post, I'l say:
Naa naa naa na, na na na, na na nanana, naa naa naa naa na na nanananana
Hilarious.

I was sat to the most miserable bastard on earth he did not cheer once, or even stand. What a total fucking gay lord, i was shocked by the lack of movement as well.
I wanted to tear my fucking seat out at some points, next time defiantly standing.
