I'm not so sure, I know most of the early Thrash bands were influenced by VENOM, but punk bands such as DISCHARGE, BROKEN BONES & GBH had a huge influence on the likes of SLAYER, METALLICA, ANTHRAX & VOIVOD. Quorthon claimed to be influenced not by VENOM and MOTORHEAD, but by CHAOS UK, GBH & RIOT/CLONE . I think it would've happened anyway. Love VENOM though...
