I use Guitar Pro for writing bass and drums to songs and then i use the MIDI files. EZDrummer the drums and put a decent RSE over the bass. Mix them down n get recording the guitars. I think Guitar Pro is a handy tool. Only thing that pisses me off it people using the electric snare on Guitar Pro because the Acoustic one gives a much better sound through EZDrummer and if im doing covers i have to go n change ALL the 40s to 38s. A damn pain it is.

I don't use any of that stuff. When I write a riff I play it along to a looped drumbeat on my computer, then record it using the sound recorder on my phone. My old phone has over 500 riff ideas on it. I hope I don't lose it. Noooo

36 and 35 combined for fast kicks, 35 for softer beats, 36 on its own can fuck off. And 40 for snare, always.

Nah, 36 is default mate. Sounds brutal if you've got good subwoofer speakers.

35 and 38 are default for EZDrummer so i stick with them. 40 sounds like the snare is being hit too close to the rim. Its good to use as a variation in rolls like.
