Cheap Metal Cd stores and patches in London
Hey guys i was roaming Oxford Circus on sunday with some friends and we managed to come across this really cool independant record store that sold some Cd's you wouldn't generally find in hmv in the metal section and that were cheaper. I also found metal militia which had a cool selection of shirts and some patches. Any of you lot know anywhere else in London where I can get meself some metal Cd's (not hmv) abd naybe some patches/shirt etc.???

Can you be more specific about this Oxford Circus place? Metal Militia is anything but cheap.
In general London seems pretty crap for good metal shops, you'll do just as well browsing generic record shops, you can sometimes find bargains that way.

Ye metal militia didnt really sell Cd's and there wasn't much selection of patches in there aswell. The Record store i found was near the green man pub, which is close to hmv. I think its called sister records or jay records something like that. I managed to find thrashing like a maniac in there. ( obviously bought it)

This place - http://www.sisterray.co.uk/ ?
Plodman got a The Rods record from the bargain section in there for £1, but generally I thought it was quite over-priced in there

Sister Ray does have a good selection of CDs but it isn't particularly cheap. If second-hand isn't a problem Flashback in Islington often has some interesting CDs (and DVDs to boot) and there's an okay one down Camden's main street. Also in Camden is All Ages Records, which specialises in punk stuff but has a fair mix of thrash, crossover and grind. That's all I can think of at the mo. Patches, again, I'd look round Camden.
These days though, sadly, internet seems to be the best way with anything particularly specialist.
