Yeah, Invasion are pretty... ok. I haven't made up my mind about them yet. The singer is like some big soul singer, she's got an amazing voice, but I don't think she uses it very well. Her melodies are very monotonous, and even though she has the power, there's just nothing memorable going on for me. The drummer is cool, the best bit of every set is when she takes her top off (she still has a bra on underneath), mmm yes lovely. And the 'metal geek' is also the man who promotes the Skill Wizard nights, he is a very cool dude indeed, I think he only plays with three strings or something. The thing is, I don't think the riffs are great, and there's no bass, so it all sounds very thin and one-dimensional, and, well, I don't know, it seems like they're trying to do something original but maybe I just don't get it. They're not bad, just not quite my cup of tea.

Saying all that, I've never listened to their recordings, so maybe that brings something different to them. They're pretty cool though, and this should be a marvellous night!
