I'm quite squeamish but the pus sounds gross ... and kinda roadkill! I hate anything like that ... you just have to squeeze it to see it ooze even though you know you shouldn't and it's going to really hurt!! Can't say I've ever had an ingrowing toenail myself but I can imagine it hurts ... alot! Good luck with the NHS and hope it recovers soon!

Why don't you just have your toe amputated?

Here is an update on the drama surrounding my toe.

A while ago I did take a few pictures but they are on my mate's camera phone so the quality isnt too good but you will get the idea. as soon as my friend is back from uni I can get them off his phone and post them up.

Also, I got surgery today and the ingrown toenail is gone! Unfortunately, I wont be able to mosh or even stand near the stage for both Exodus and Tankard for fear of my nail dropping off... That fucking sucks!

Anyway I will tell you what the operation was like:

I lay down on the operation table and removed my mossy sock. They injected my big toe four times with a HUGE fucking needle to knock it out cos it put up a fight . Then they put some shit on my foot to disinfect it and then started trying to dig out the ingrown parts with a chisel like instrument.

When the nail was out of the skin they started hacking the sides with a scalpol to get it loose and then they twisted it off with a pair of pliers!
I did film some of the operation but I musnt have saved it on my phone... FUCK!

They let me keep the pieces of nail they removed so if anyone wants me to send it to them let me know.

This thread is really lowering the TOEne.
