This man should be executed.

Discuss.

They should just send people like that to jails in Thailand. That's probably worse than death.

It's quite a big issue though - why should taxpayers keep someone who has cut short three innocent lives alive for 38 years? I can't really see a good answer, when the guilt is beyond doubt.

It is clearly a tough question to draw a cut off line for though.

Yes definetly, it'd be moving backwards and would be seen as uncivilised if we brought it back in now. It's just too fine a line, you just can never be entirely sure where the line is drawn between life and death.

Can you actually lose your human rights?! if a crime is that bad, you've got to look at mental issues over being "evil".

And is there even such a thing as "evil"? Oooh, scary.

That guy is awesome. They should give him a medal and write love songs about him...

No, I agree. People like this need to be killed, but I don't think giving a death sentence is enough for people like that. He should be tortured to death over a long period of time. Death penalties where the prisoner is killed instantly suck. They should suffer... SUFFEEEERRRR!!!

i think when kids are involved then yes, death penalty all the way. To rob someone of such a period of innocence and bliss is a totally unforgivable crime.

As for standard murders, prison and relentless work are the way.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I read that as you wanting to give kids the death penalty. And I kept reading the post, and I couldn't dismiss the thought that you want kids dead, even though you didn't mean it. I'm sorry.

Why test products on animals, when you can test them on criminals instead?

I think the death penalty should return only for truly horrific crimes.

True, it would be hard to draw the line and then try and decide which crime is too much, but for sure - serial killers / rapists / paedophiles / etc etc have to be killed. They're only taking up space in jail, and they'll be released into society before their time is due and they'll probably go on a rampage again because nobody will ever trust them ever again. 'Hi Dad, I did rape 52 grannies, kill 84 people, and kidnap and murder 9803 kids, but it's okay, I'm out now. Want to go to Harvesters?'

Kill the bastards.

I think ultimately the action that in my eyes is the most realistic that I would like to see, would have potential break through medical advances tested on them. If their fingers fall off, who'd give a monkeys?

It's way too hard to draw the line, I disagree with the death penalty. I think what's needed is tougher sentencing, i.e., instead of giving the guy "38 years", they should literally just sentence him to life in jail - i.e. he will die there. They should also have tougher conditions inside prisons for more serious crimes like this. For example, I would suggest that this guy spend the rest of his life inside a small cell with just a toilet and not ever be let out - not even for 'exercise' until he dies.
