Hail Of Bullets - Of Frost And War

Postby zykloned on Sat Apr 11, 2009 7:43 pm

Okay, I started a post on Hail of Bullets a while ago - but now I finally have the album.

It's absolutely fucking incredible, SO heavy, everything about it is spot on!

From the gutteral vocals to the scything guitars, it proper puts you in the mood for war, ha ha!

Can't recommend this highly enough - get it!

Asphyx (hardly surprising) and Morgoth are pretty decent comparisons. Personally I think the production is a bit too dense overall, and the album is too long, but it's a very solid DM record.

The Morgoth thing sold it to me. So im on their myspace now.

The feel of the songs really reminds me of Morgoths Cursed album, because of the slow part being quite like them and the variation with the fast n such. Also i think i heard a bit of Bolt Thrower in a few songs. Sounds great, the guitar production sounds huge. Red Wolves of Stalin is the best thats there. When i can im buying this :D

I'd really like to get hold of this.

I listened to it a few months ago, liked the music but didn't really get on with the vocals. Time to give it another bash, I reckon.
