Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Re: Prog Thread
Here we go for prog! I'm almost exclusively listening to canterbury scene stuff at the moment. Gong are the band of the month for me. check out their radio gnome invisible trilogy albums. Pure space tea magic.
Also, as Ben mentioned, check out prog not frog. So much to be found there. Be sure to post any wonders you come across so we can all enjoy.

Re: Prog Thread
Because we want to talk about different bands, i think this thread is a dumb idea. We just just introduce bands it doesn't matter what genre it is i am a fan of MUSIC! Who gives a toss about genre if you like it then bloody like it.
Gosh!
Gosh!

Re: Prog Thread
Aye. I oftenly introduce death metal n such. Im not actually a fan of prog and im sure many people here arent. But theres a few who like it, but not a number great enough for a sub forum i wouldnt say so, but i wouldnt be the boss of that anyway so...

Re: Prog Thread
I would hardly say its 'taking over'. Besides this section is called 'All Music' so if you don't want to talk about prog then don't post in a prog thread.
I also created a thread due to people creating new threads for bands like Camel and Yes etc, so thought it would be sensible to have a seperate thread in case anyone did want to start talking about these bands rather than creating another thread for Genesis or Hawkwind or whatever.
Why is this thread a 'dumb idea' then Dian Wei? Its no more 'dumb' than other threads I've seen around here and there.
Stop bitching you lot and just talk about prog music! If you don't like it then no one's forcing you to contribute.
Anyway, anyone know any good books on prog? I was informed by my brother there was a compilation of Hungarian prog in HMV in Portsmouth which I may have to look out for. Also Sweden and France had a prog scene which was apparently not so well known as what was happening mainly in the UK and Germany (and maybe a few bands outside that region such as Rush emerging from Canada etc)

Because multiple threads are better allows more focus.

Re: Prog Thread
ProgUK dot com. I'm not really into progers, but I could be if I tried, I just can't be bothered. It's not top of my things to do, I guess I'll just keep listening to thrash and maybe I'll become a jew. Prog is a forg prog is a frog, it's stuck in my thoat, might make me choke, prog is a frog...... ain't nout like a dog.

Re: Prog Thread
It's the fact that all thrash threads are turning into prog discussions, look at the Tankard and violator thread there was prog talk within a couple of posts.
