FOUR MORE ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR BLOODSTOCK 2010
* LEAVES EYES ONLY UK SHOW OF 2010 *
* SUFFOCATION EXCLUSIVE UK FESTIVAL APPEARANCE *
* METAL GODDESS DORO ADDED TO LINE UP *
* DREAM EVIL TO OPEN THE FESTIVAL *

With most of the UK’s 2010 festivals yet to announce any acts, next year’s BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR is off to a great head start with 10 stellar acts already announced, including the latest four bands to be added to the already impressive line up.

First up, it’s an honour to confirm that Swedish Metal masters DREAM EVIL will be kicking off the proceedings at BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2010, with the first slot of the festival. With their catchy, anthemic and powerful brand of Heavy Metal, we can’t think of a more fun way to get the party started. Bassist Pete Pain is looking forward to the band’s return:
"It's super nice to come back to play at the festival where we baptised Dannee Demon as new DREAM EVIL axeman. The memory fragments from Bloodstock are just positive and we feel great about coming back again in 2010! See you all soon!"

Symphonic Goth Metallers LEAVES EYES will be flying over to the UK next August especially for their appearance at BOA 2010 - the band’s only UK appearance of the year. States Frontlady Liv Kristine:
"The norsemen and women are back on the British Isles! We are looking forward to perform "Njord" live at Bloodstock Open Air, 2010. This will surely be a special event for both audience and band as the concept of our
third and latest release is heavily influenced by the Vikings' experience and influence on British ground in the Middle-Ages."

Bandmate and co-vocalist/keyboard player Alexander Krull is in agreement:
“It's great that we are able to play Bloodstock next year! Last time it didn't work out because of our time schedule in the studio, so we are really looking forward to this show! All our British friends and fans told us to
play Bloodstock which is a really great metal festival! See you all there!"

Bringing the brutality to Bloodstock, Death Metal legends SUFFOCATION will be joining the line up for an exclusive UK festival appearance - your only chance to see them outdoors in the UK in 2010. Their first UK festival appearance, the band’s back catalogue of Death Metal classic such as Infecting The Crypts, Effigy Of The Forgotten and Pierced From Within means fans of the more extreme end of metal are in for a treat.

Last - but in no way least - German Metal Goddess DORO will be performing at BLOODSTOCK’s 10th Anniversary. The feisty frontwoman will lead her band through a thunderous set, which is bound to include some old WARLOCK numbers such as “Hellbound” and the classic “All We Are” in tribute to her former band.

The Bloodstock team are pleased to announce that US death metal legends CANNIBAL CORPSE have been added to the bill for Bloodstock Open Air 2010.

This is a UK EXCLUSIVE and their ONLY UK SHOW in 2010! which the band are eager to deliver. Says drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz:

"We are extremely excited to be playing Bloodstock! It will be our first ever festival appearance in the UK and we can't wait to tear it up for the masses!" Paul M

Cannibal Corpse were formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1988 and despite virtually no mainstream media exposure, they have gone on to become the biggest selling death metal band of all time. After gigging locally and recording a five track demo, the band were picked up by Metal Blade Records who issued their debut album Eaten Back to Life in August 1990. With tracks such as Edible Autopsy and A Skull Full of Maggots, and gory sleeve artwork to match, Cannibal Corpse courted controversy from the word go. Later years would see their albums censored and banned in many parts of the world, most notably in Germany where for a lengthy period they were prohibited from performing material from albums up to and including Tomb of the Mutilated. 1991’s Butchered at Birth followed a similarly explicit path to their blood-soaked debut and saw the band quickly begin to build a rabid cult following in the underground. Tomb of the Mutilated (1992) and The Bleeding (1994) continued their success, the latter remaining the band’s best-selling album to date. As a mark of their growing notoriety, 1994 also saw the band perform a brief cameo appearance in the movie Ace Ventura: Pet Detective alongside actor Jim Carrey.

1996’s Vile marked the debut of new vocalist George ‘Corpsegrinder’ Fisher who was drafted in to replace the sacked Chris Barnes. Vile was the first death metal album to appear on the Billboard 200 chart, debuting at no. 151. Although their line-up has undergone slight changes from time to time, subsequent years have seen them sticking to their basic formula with only slight technical refinements and continuing to be one of the most popular bands in the genre. Gallery of Suicide (1998), Bloodthirst (1999), Gore Obsessed (2002), The Wretched Spawn (2004) and Kill (2006) all bear the trademark Cannibal Corpse sound, offering visceral horror stories with a savage soundtrack to match. The band’s most recent studio album, 2009’s Evisceration Plague, entered the Billboard 200 chart at no. 66, the highest opening position of their career.

CANNIBAL CORPSE – Butchered at Bloodstock - BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2010.

Looking good so far. I've not hear much/any of the others yet, so I can't comment on them, but the above bands are getting my interest.

Meh, so far the only band I absolutely have to see on the lineup is Obituary, and they're touring already this year, so I'll probably give this a miss. Children Of Bodom pretty much sealed the deal, whatever you think of that band they suck huge sweaty bollocks live.

I was considering going till I saw that Fear Factory and Children Of Boredom had appeard on the bill. All the decent bands are touring the UK in the year ayway so no big miss. Vader might end up on the bill as theyre touring the UK and theres already a host of decent death metal bands there already
