That's good there's some interested bands....and you should all get on. Lets see after Hellfest whether there is more interest and can move from there for early August.

The venue situation in Birmingham is pretty dire, but depending on size I can possibly suggest something.... Might be able to help out in other ways too, give me a shout if so.

The old bell in derby, the best venue easily, as im sure the guys from gama bomb and mutant will agree after there storming gig there recently!. No contest. Everything is already in place, and saturday 31st is actually free!!!

We would deff be up for playing anything thats organised!

Birmingham is a no go imho and it will not get any better anytime soon.

If you have spent more then 10 minutes of my company and asked me "why dont I put on gigs anymore" you will know why.

As for the July/August thing, way to soon you would be better off doing a showcase tour or you are going to end up with more bands members there rather then punters.

Also with the amount of free gigs @ the Unicorn in July you would be best to avoid that month totally.

Having organized my share of gigs since '06, I really dont recommend putting on anything 'big' without at least 3-4 months notice... unless you can keep costs extremely low.
