Iced Earth playing "All major European festivals"!

Postby Stevedot2 on Sun Feb 17, 2008 1:19 pm

Wacken, come on Wacken, please Waken, come on... WACKEN!!!!

"Iced Earth will return to Canada before embarking on a trip to Europe to play all major festivals this summer.

The band will play a one-off show as special guest to NIGHTWISH. The details are as follows:

MAY 9, 2008 : QUEBEC CITY - CENTRE DE FOIRE

"We are psyched to come and play for our Canadian fans this soon!", says Jon Schaffer. "Although we are planning to come back this fall with the new album, this will be a great chance to play a kick-ass, compact greatest-hits set and set Quebec City ablaze!"

The full schedule for European festival appearances in 2008 will be posted next week."

Is Bloodstock able to be categorised as a major festival yet or does that mean they'll be playing Clownload?

Didn't they play last year?
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

They played Wacken but the only gigs in this country they did were supporting Heaven and Hell.

Yeah they played Wacken last year and I don't think they let bands play two years in a row unfortunately. They were so epic last year, I enjoyed them immensely... the vast quantities of beer also helped ;)

Yeah I thought that, I don't even care if they don't healine the main stage, I jsut want to see a proper set form them, something other than that pile of shit I saw at Wembley. They have Barlow back now so where ever they play I really don't a choice whether I'm going or not!

Hmm, I've heard they are boring as sin live. I actually really like Night of the Stormrider but they're a band I can take or leave live.

Yeah, I'm not massive on them, they were good fun at Wacken though, I wasn't really expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. There was a great atmosphere and lots of beer and mud so it was thoroughly enjoyable :P

Doubt they will because of the two year band booking thing, however if they played Bloodstock that would be rather nice.

They were SHITE supporting H+H, although they may be better with Ripper Owens out of the picture.

They have Subway to fucking Sally and Die Apocalyptishen Reiter (sp?) playing almost every year I think, and didn't Finntroll play twice in a row as well recently?
