Yep. I'll just add that I thought that last one was pretty good. Pretty funny and totally entertaining.
What episodes were five years ago? My chronology is terrible.

The UK Office was bad enough. The USA have never taken something that the UK has created and made it better. Never.

It's not 'better', just different. From Season 2 onwards, it's its own show, and I love it.

Here's hoping the rumoured American version of Father Ted remains a rumour...

The US version of Red Dwarf was supposed to be pretty gash. Seriously, it's hard enough to even find one of the 2 or 3 episodes they made for download. They tried it twice, the cat was a woman in one of them.
I'm going to
Tear your fuckin' eyes out,
Rip your fuckin' flesh off,
Beat you 'till you're just a fucking lifeless carcass,
Fuck you and your progress,
Watch me fucking regress,
You were made to take the fall,
Now you're nothing!!

I think the problem was that they used good-looking actors to play Lister and Rimmer. It just misses the point of a program like Red Dwarf so completely. They also had Dog instead of Cat I believe.
