Covers - again

Postby STD_Caps on Thu Jul 22, 2010 3:26 pm

I know this has been done but I heard Clutch's Cross-Eyed Mary cover a couple of weeks back and thought it was pretty good. Not the original but still damn nice. This led me to the Maiden cover - atrocious. Well maybe an exaggeration but not by much. Also, I'd like to mention the Pat Benatar cover by Viking. They thrash that song up quite nicely and it shows that covering 80s numbers was something done in the 80s (Man of Straw was 80s wasn't it?)

Any other mad-props/bare-knocks anyone wants to hand out?

Couldn't find the Viking cover on el tube

There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

Hahaha! If you thought the Maiden cover of Cross-Eyed Mary was bad, try and find their cover of Communication Breakdown... and not to mention My Generation with Blaze Bayley on vocals...
