i'd expect there would be another band on at the same time so they won't feature/affect my festival whatsoever

i've got flights booked for me and 6 mates now

I really wish Sabbat would confirm for this... but I don't know how likely that is.

I thought that was the other (better) Sabbat from Japan?

Apparently Sabbat are supposed to be playing both Wacken and Bloodstock but i dunno how reliable that is. Gonna be a convoy from Bradford driving over to Wacken via Hamburg i reckon, road trip baby!!! :rockdevil:

Oh man, I must've spent like £600 on Wacken. It's an expensive weekend for sure. The flight cost like £120 return, plus the beer is way expensive (with good reason, it tastes like a fucking steak dinner). I ended up queueing 5 hours in the burning sun to get to a cash machine and withdraw the last of my savings, just so I could get marvelously shitfaced on the last night. :D

I love the Japanese Sabbat, it's well worth picking up the Sabbatical Holocaust compilation CD, with all their early demos. Fantastic stuff!

i went last year and didn't find it to be that expensive, surely you mean the beer inside the festival grounds? because it was cheap as fuck from any of the shops in the little village(and you get a reasonable bit of change for returning your empty bottles)

Oh of-course I meant the beer inside. I was ALL about that official Wacken beer. Only went outside the grounds once, and then I was broke. :P

What the fuck is up with the Germans and fizzy bottled water? Every time I got drunk I'd end up buying that shit by accident again. :/

i never once bought a beer inside the festival area, we just carried crates back the day before the bands started and in the mornings before the bands(or bands we wanted to see) started up. breakfast was at least 4 beers(after the first one the beer bong was used) and some fried bread so we were always tanked up before even getting inside.

and yeah i got that shitty sparkling water by mistake, i really don't like that stuff in my mouth at all, so i started to brush my teeth with beer instead
