Death Metal gig in Brum 28th April - Not thrash at all!

Postby Reanimator Luke on Thu Apr 19, 2007 10:21 am

Not a thrash show at all but what the hell, some of you might fancy this if you're around Birmingham next weekend....

At the end of April Reanimator will be hosting four killer bands exhumed from the UK death metal underground, each with their own slightly different, yet still pummelling means of delivering the aural equivalent of a good kicking.... check them out at:

Bonesaw - All the way from Aberdeen, a savage mix of old school death metal and gore with sick riffs and murderous intent. Listen and be impressed at http://www.myspace.com/bonesawuk

Ingested - Kings of brutality and gut stomping, smash facing, wimp slaying grind. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/ingesteduk

Insidious - Cyber-blasting futuristic death-grind from Notingham. These guys are so brutal it's off the charts. Listen at http://www.myspace.com/insidiousband

Machiavellian - Sludgey, heavy, crushing death metal from the dark north of England. Tracks up at http://www.myspace.com/mcvln

Come down, have a beer and check out some sickness from the underground! ARGH!

We played with Indsidious once. It was like doing maths homework.

I'm appalled by the suggestion that at some point you were young enough to have maths homework yet still drinking pints

In all honesty, if the sound is good Insidious are going to be amazing, but if the sound is bad then they will sound like a horrible mess.

Fingers crossed eh?

Yeah, I'm only kidding, they were pretty good for what they were doing. Went over my head a bit though.

Rich from Insidious is an immense drummer, and he shouted at PC World when they sold me a dud laptop

he wins!

I find it funny watching Pat sing, you see him beforehand stroking kittens, kissing babies, talking about village fete's, and then he gets on stage and all his muscles pop out and he starts screaming that he's gunna eat your grandma's prolapse and stuff

its wonderful!
will be a great show for those attending
spent last night trying to chuck my bird
she was clinging to my leg like a homesick turd
'Your tits are too small, and your legs are too short,
I want a fit bird from the Sunday Sport!

Hurray! Insidious recommended by a hot chick!
Booo! Insidious have had to pull out! Gutted.

Bonesaw are indeed fucking awesome and it's their first gig in England ever, and the the other bands aren't too bad either, so if you're at a loose end tomorrow and within a reasonable distance of Birmingham, you know where to come....

Guys,
I'm really sorry to announce that due to several of the bands having to pull out of this show and despite some efforts to get around it we've now had to make the decision to cancel it altogether.

We've looked at running this as just a DJ night, but it would entail costs on top of the hit we're already taking that we just can't afford. I'd like to say sorry to everyone who has been looking forward to this as much as I have.

Please spread the word and let everybody know.
