I've not had a maple neck on a guitar in ages. That's part of the reason I want one of those BC Richs. If I could get the ££ together, I'd buy a Musicman Axis.

You'd buy a Charvel Star. In white, with mapel neck.

Like a good boy.

Nah, not unless it had a locking trem. Besides, I'm done with silly guitars. I bought a V once and it was just silly.

This. I got a Jackson DK2M with a maple neck (that's actually what the M stands for). Sounds much nicer than the rosewood (or whatever they use on the dark fretboards for that model) ones. I didn't think it'd make that much difference, but it's ace. Also, it looks badass:

I wish they didn't use a maple headstock on those. I reckon just plain black or, better still, matched to the body would look better.

Nah, otherwise your guitar would look like this - if it were a Telecaster.

Exactly.

Maple neck and headstock - if a Fender design - are fine. Otherwise it's pushing it.

Well no. 'Cause it looks mint on that Jackson, but shit on that Fender. So the opposite to what you said.

Quilted maple tops FTW. I know PRS overuse them, but they do look sexy.
