I've never found EA to be that great :eyes: I tihnk it's a poor album release, then again I don't really like Kreator's albums as such they are far too samey throughout, but the tracks are fuckin killer!!!!!! :rockdevil:

Extreme Aggression is THE best Kreator album by a mile. Coma Of Souls came out and it totally lacked the passion and fire of EA. It was far too polished compared to EA. I never understand anyone who holds COS above EA. Betrayer is the best song Kreator have written AFAIC. When COS came out i was gutted by how poor it compared to EA. I am sure Scoob and mlefa30 would back me up on this.

Did your Mrs get you a crack-pipe for Crimbo or something Scott?

I love both albums but Agents of Brutality is easily my favourite Kreator song.

No crack, just Strongbow :D

But seriously, back when Coma Of Souls came out it just seemed a bit bland. Hence it only got a KKK review in Kerrang too and that was when Kerrang knew what it was talking about. Extreme Aggression had a much bigger impact when i first heard it so i guess that is why i hold it in such high regard.

I actually only own Pleasure to Kill and Coma of Souls on disc, but it seems pretty clear that PTK devastates the latter with ease.

I can't really stand brutal Thrash anymore. I've gone off it in a big way in the past 6 months or so. It's weird because I used to rant and rave about how good German Thrash is, but I seem to be listening to stuff with a more pre-planned and refined sound these days.

It's not a classic (yet), but for a damn enjoyable album of stripped-down powerful thrash you could do a lot worse then Sodom's "M-16"

Oh yeah, and all self respecting thrashers should also give the following albums a listen as they are and always have been relevant to the development of thrash metal

DISCHARGE why / hear nothing, see nothing
GBH city baby attacked by rats
DEAD KENNEDYS give me convienience / fresh fruit
MOTORHEAD overkill / bomber / ace of spades

I know none of these are thrash albums, but they all should (at least in part) appeal to thrash fans as they do possess a lot of the bare bones upon which the whole thrash sound was built. It wasnt just DIAMOND HEAD and NWOBHM y' know!!!

DKs are one of my fave bands of all time. Don't see em as having much of a thrash infuence though. Misfits more so, eg Earth AD. Oh and Bad Brains (what a band!). Discharge and GBH way more. Totally agree with the Motorhead too. Key part to thrash origins.

Got to pck up some more thrash...
