I know he did something wrong,
He done some bad things,
but not the worst man in human being ever
he ain't that bad enough to deserve all those disrepect after he's dead
please, show some respect... respect the dead

He's a great songwriter, a great dancer, a great performer,
he wrote many classic songs that no one can deny

let him rest in peace

Exactly yes.

the fact that they accepted a financial settlement of 20 milllion, suggests to me that they actually only wanted money, not retribution.

Exactly indeed!

How is it laughable? Gary Glitter had a bigger impact on my life than Micheal Jackson. I have never liked Micheal Jackson, personally i think his music is bland pop for the masses where as Gary Glitter was sing'a'long fun.

No way, MJ made some of the greatest pop ever!

I'm sorry but i seriously can't accept that, literally anybody could have written GG entire back catalogue in an evening.

I think it also likely comes down to era, i mean there is a slight slight chance that... no i'm sorry i can't even admit to that being possible MJ was too much of a musical force in my life.

But if that's how you feel then fair enough.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Still gutted about this. I've been playing Off The Wall constantly for the last few days. I understand there are no right and wrongs in musical taste but the poster who said that Gary Glitter was better than MJ....

I personally think weve just been exposed to yet another Goody syndrome grieve. No, i dont think Jade Goody did even quarter as much as lego man, but, yet again, tabloids tell us 'what a cunt, he touches kids, cant look after his own kids, cant look after himself, what a mess' andall that bollox, yet as soon as hes dead, oh god, what a shame, this guy was a hero! same with goody, what a racist, what a bitch, what scum.....DEAD......what a fucking inspiration to us all!!!!!

I for one will be supporting the passing of Glitter, and will be reminding everyone on his death, that he's dead, we should respect him, forget the past, he was a hero and inspiration!!

Yeah, it's scarily Orwellian how the public can be made to demonise someone one day and canonise them the next! (or vice versa)
