There were multiple threads in here about the general state of the forum, and the issue of moderation. I've removed these to make a summary announcement.
People seem to agree that the informal chatty side of the forum gives it character and humour, and I certainly don't want that to change.
However, from now on people are asked to keep the music and gig related areas of UK Thrash as informative as possible.
At the very least, this means no more arbitrary personal abuse or unconstructive criticism; it would also be nice if threads stayed fairly on topic, or at least not so swamped that the casual browser can't gain anything from it.

Re: Winds of Change

Re: Winds of Change
I'm disappointed, James. Sure, there was a lot of noise coming from the pricks who posted, having not done so in months, to say that they don't post anymore because things get so abstract, but they are scum. Why couldn't you have maintained a more elitist forum? I mean, what you have done is basically extend the franchise to the working class and women in one fell swoop. Whilst you may be admired for generations of lay posters to come, your name shall henceforth be uttered with contempt by your one-time entourage.
Not only has the Rubicon been crossed; it's been pissed in.
Shame!
P.S. My post-count has been raped again.

People can still add 'flavour' without being a dick about it.

Not really.
Personality on this forum is now under serious threat from the fascist bully-boy's compliance with liberal elements of the proletariat.

is there a way we can mark posts as trolling/spam?

If we used that, Craig and FBB would be inundated with reported posts.

there will be a new mod. It's a question of when rather than if now
