Re: Opeth - Brixton 26th april
Fine then, you miserable bastard. Try Ghost of Perdition and The Baying of the Hounds and Blackwater Park (the title track) and Dirge For November, and listen to them all at least three times before you judge them. And Deliverance and A Fair Judgement, for goodness me. If you don't like them, I won't be your friend anymores. Actually yeah, definitely listen to A Fair Judgement, if you like music you will definitely like that song. If you don't, I hate you.

Re: Opeth - Brixton 26th april
For those of you who are going to see Opeth tonight they will be playing last. Sorry Brixton, looks like you will have Arch Enema closing your show.
Opeth were good last night in the Weege but I have seen them play better. Sound was great at times and then terrible at others (Wreath suffered due to too much bass and drums in the mix). Same set as Brum:
Demon of the Fall, Serenity Painted Death, Baying of the Hounds, Heir Apparent, In my Time of Need, Wreath, The Drapery Falls.
Heir Apparent sounded fooking great though.
Was a bit weird Arch Enema coming on after the Opeth. A bit of an anti climax. Couldn't really be bothered with em.

Master's Apprentices, brilliant. The great about how they play it now as opposed to when they did it on the Lamentations DVD is that Axe doesn't do that crazy thing Lopez did to ruin the fast bit near the end. I was very very pleased when I saw that.
How was Wreath? Did you cry?

Re: Opeth - Brixton 26th april
i'll do a mini review:
pros:
opeth were shine, prime setlist
akerfeldt called arch enemy "arse enema", and mocked the sickeningly cheesy tour title
saw some guy in a HOD shirt
chelsea beat man u
cons:
3.40 for a pint of shitty carling, my only pint of the night, which i spilt over myself
support bands were meh
when akerfeldt said comus were in the audience i was one of about 3 people in the whole audience who cheered, followed by a brent like silence
