Roger Wootton (of Comus) FREE! @ The Unicorn

Postby Resilience Records on Tue Mar 16, 2010 5:07 am

Not Thrash - BUT i know alot of people here are into them...

Incredible one-off performance from the legendary musician Roger Wootton from classic 70s acid folk group Comus. Rodger will be performing old and new (!!) songs by Comus as well as some of his own stuff, with support from the wonderfully dark Ethnamorte. Expect a night of the darkest and wyrdest depths of Acid Folk!

Mindzap lightshow will maintain the heavy vibes through-out.

You know by the sound of the baying, by the baying of the hounds...

I can't believe I'm going to fucking miss this. I better get lots of sexual enjoyment in Scotland to make up for it.

Anyone who is going, beware of the power that will be bestowed upon your face if Rog plays the new Comus song. It's absolutely amazingly ridiculous.

BONK! Or whatever. This should be a damn fine display of proggy-folky madness. Who are Ethnamorte? Is Mr Wootton playing acoustically oder was? All will be revealed. Lovely stuff

nice gig, i liked Ethna Morte, i dunno if it was coz i was baked outta my mind and had some ol craft hen, but the music, as crazy az it was, was brilliant!

Ol man wootton was on form, only ever heard one Comus track in my life but his playing and sweaty delivery were brilliant, kinda reminded me a bit of Dave Gilmour, he even got annoyed at himself and started a song over, dudes got balls of folk steel!

Didn't see Ethna Morte but I agree that Wootton was a wonder. Very nice night, lovely music. 'Out of the Coma' sounds like it will be immense. Good stuff.
