No it's totally worth it's own thread to discuss it. I think it's a brilliant documentary, clearly made by a heavy metal lover. Great interviews, especially the Sabbath ones!

Bill Ward gets a bit teary about Sabbath... Ahh man that was a great watch though. Just that era of heavy metal and rock was amazing. Especially all the production from back then. Just hearing those lovely Ludwig drum kits made me really happy too.

I thought it was rather well done, like much of the Britannia series has been. The guy from Budgie came across as a bit of a dick though haha

I think they could have put another half an hour talking about more modern times. As most of these shows just leave it at the early 80's i would have liked to have seen stuff on 90's and even today.
There was about two seconds of Bill Steer and Shane Embury sitting on a bed at the end from the show Arena which is on google video.

Yeah I watched that first thinking it was the actual show - was really disappointed that it was so short and there were no interviews  It's a cool watch though, just wish it was a bit longer.

The documentary itself has made me worship Sabbath even more as well. Total gods.

Powerful. The best part is where he's saying about hearing Ozzy sing "what is this that stands before me?" for the first time over that opening riff, and thinking that if they never wrote another song, he would still be happy. Fuck yes!!

Just finished watching it and yeah, it was good, but a few glaring omissions, such as rainbow and def leppard, but thats just nit picking really. Loved the way they sneaked the footage of the norweigen stave church burning in the iommi interview haha

Yeah I've been blasting lots of Volume 4 lately, quality album. Last night I listened to Black Sabbath (song) with headphones and the lights off... it was a religious experience. If you think about it it's totally insane that they were more or less the first heavy metal band, and their songs are STILL some of the greatest heavy metal songs ever.

Haha brilliant! Im glad they gave Blue Cheer a mention. Have you heard the first Blue Cheer album? It's just sooo good. I sort of consider parts of that album to be metal, but it was never fully metal until Sabbath just nailed it. Seeing them live with Dio is going to be amazing too. Just hopefully one day ill see them with Ozzy too.
