May 8th for the new album. I have hopes for it. After Sleepwalker and Gears Of War, I'm pretty much certain we're not in for a St Anger.
Another new Megadeth track - Sleepwalker

Don't buy the CD even if it is good? You should download it illegally and then spend the money you save on a bottle of vodka and a pizza.
It's what Metal Iain would do.

Youthanasia???
It sounds pretty cool, I'm not to keen on the Alice Cooper style chorus tho, it's a bit, well, Cryptic Writings (did have some fucking amazing songs on though!), but gayer....

What do you mean by 'Youthanasia??? '?
Alice Cooper-style choruses are the epitome of genius and all bands, regardless of genre, should base their sound on them.

Alice Cooper does rule, but Megadeth should stop intentionally putting catchy chorus' in practically every song just to make it more popular!!!
Youthanasia is total drivel in my eyes (or should it be ears?), I can't stand all the poppy-sounding gayness, even after Countdown, which fucking rules, they just took it one step too far to be accepted as not just a thrash band! There are good songs, as ever, but the I find the album weak in general..

I've always maintained that Youthanasia is a great album. I've never liked the first two tracks but there's some fucking crackers on there. Dave's singing is actually really good too, which is a bit strange. I wish Megadeth had stayed where they were after that album.

Yeah, it's pretty good but I really think Megadeth had found a niche for the '90s when they did Youthansia. It's so far removed from Thrash yet is nowhere near too commercial for Metalheads to be able to like.

i prefer youthanasia to countdown to extinction. and i dont like anything after youth until system has failed. dont listen to much of any of them though.

Meh... I want to like this song, and it's quite good... but to be honest after a couple of listens I'm already bored of it. It's a bit better than the other 2 tracks, but they're all quite average really. Or at least just above average. I know it's kind of unfair to keep expecting Dave to write something as amazing as the first 4 albums, but still, it's Megadeth, it should be great! Not they've done anything that great for a long time really. I don't know, so far it sounds like this will be a pretty good album, at least better than the last... well, few. But I can't really be bothered for it, there doesn't seem to be any passion or excitement anywhere, it's just metal that 'works' but doesn't do anything all that interesting. Who knows, it could surprise us all and be a masterpiece of metal. I doubt it will though.
