All of Michael Jackson's London dates have been cancelled. Those include Tom (aged 9), Brian (aged 7) and John (aged 10).

Ho ho ho!
No cremation - just recycling into plastic bags where once again he can remain white plastic and dangerous to kids
Can't believe he finally beat it
Doctors are said to blame it on the boogie

I dont think its over the top. A lot of people are saying this, but you have to think... nobody sells albums like MJ, and nobody has as much fans as MJ. Literally everybody in the world seems to know who he is. And hes just dropped from the face of the earth. Gone like that. Such a huge figure is gone, and even if you arent a big fan, this is massive, it is such a sudden change. This man did shape popular music and hes done some naughty things yes, but he is also owed an unbelievable amount of respect.
Look at the way people still treat the death of Elvis. This could be much bigger. MJ lasted in the music world for generations.

Re: Michael Jackson is Dead
He made loads of good albums! Off The Wall, Bad and Thriller were the classics obviously, but Dangerous was also brilliant, and the Blood On The Dancefloor album tracks (not the silly remixes) were pretty awesome too. Also, the second disc of HIStory, which was a disc of brand new tracks at the time, so sort of a new album, was also pretty damn good. His last album Invincible was a bit rubbish though because he was ruined by the modern shit of R&B, and didn't have Quincy Jones to make sure he was amazing. But still, he was the most incredible performer/singer/dancer ever. No one has ever danced or sung like him, and no one in pop music has come out with the quality of songs that he wrote. No one had ever, and ever will, write a song as unbelievably amazing as Man In The Mirror or Smooth Criminal, or loads of other amazing songs that he and Quincy Boy wrote. He is literally the thing that got me to love music, my inspiration as a child, and even as I grew up. I loved Michael Jackson from when I was a small lovely boy, and I always did, even now I never stopped listening to him. I was very upset indeed to hear of this terrible news.
However, some of the jokes floating around at the moment are quite funny.

Gary Glitter was at one time fucking amazing but at the end of the day he was still a nonce, but the best quote i've heard all day was from R Kelly who said 'he was my hero and mentor'.

Comparing Glitter to Jackson is fucking laughable.
Jon has pretty summed it up perfectly for me, was a massive musical influence on me as a kid and beyond. Basically wrote the best pop songs in existence and although he was one messed up cat.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

This.
I listened to MJ quite a lot as a kid, and I've never really stopped. He was an incredible songwriter and has pretty much shaped the entire music industry. He even got Eddie Van Halen to do the solo (just the solo, mind you) on Beat It, so getting all the rock kids in on his music as well. He was a master of the music industry and will be very much missed - even though he did have a pretty screwed up head.
