Alien is brilliant. Possibly my favourite film ever. The first three are all brilliant but do not under any circumstance watch Alien Resurrection or either of the AVP films. You won't thank yourself for it. Most people hate Alien 3 as well but the redux version of it is brilliant. I rate it above Aliens anyway.

Aliens is good but I think it's a bit daft how many and how easily the aliens are killed. It undermines the first film quite badly. There are also bits you wish they'd thought harder about; Ripley fighting the queen in that silly JCB suit for one. I like Alien 3 because it's quite similar to Alien, i.e. more of a horror film than an action film.

Have you actually watched the 'ox' version or are you still basing your opinion of Alien 3 on the 'dog' version? Alien 3 easily has the best cast out of all the Alien films too. When Brian Glover gets wasted and Pete Postlethwait (it may have been Danny Webb) shouts 'Fuck!' is also hilarious.

I seem to remember there was a discussion on the Alien films on here before and someone pointed out that in the re-release of Alien, Ripley finds Brett and Dallas being turned into eggs at the end of the film which, if included in the original, would have fucked the queen idea of Aliens.

I watched the Director's Cut version, and yes, Ripley does indeed find Dallas and Brett in the place of egg doom, then she sees Dallas trying to say 'Kill me!' and so she blasts him with a flamethrower. A good friend indeed.

Saw Wolverine Origins last night and i really enjoyed it. They took some liberties with the plot and main story but it worked in the end. If they hadnt changed it i dont think the film would have worked. Special effects on the whole were great, the fight scenes were awesome aswell.

Gambit needed more of a cajun accent but on the whole played it well. The plot was well thought out and had a really cool plot twist...although it was overused alot in in the near past it worked well.... people wont like who the end badguy is...i wasnt and i thought the ending was a bit...hmm... its one of the movies that just needed a little change to the ending

Overall better then the x-men movies which i didnt like but meh! Go see this its good shit!!!!

I've just got back from Wolverine. Superb film, there was only one let down, but it was massive. Deadpool being my favourite character, I was disapointed in the changes. Perfect as Wade, terrible as Deadpool. Why all those powers, that's not bloody right.

Im dissapointed in:(highlight to reveal a possible spoiler ) the fact that this essentially meens we wont get a deadpool movie now, cause if hes dead in this then unlikely they will destroy a cannon they are possibly rebuilding

So yea Lev i agree - really annoying! But i cant wait to go see it again

Highlight to read reply.

As daft as his death was, Marvel of all people will find no problem with bringing him back I reckon. They'll just say something lame like when his head was reattached he kept his powers but forget how to use them, and can only remember his primary ones. Something equally bent, anyway.

I saw Wolverine yesterday as well...i thought it was alright. As people said Wade was done well as "the merc with the mouth". Though its strange they shoved Deadpool as weapon XI, the whole it could have been wolverine's son approach like in the comics would have been intresting and meant Deadpool could be kept around....though he did die a few times in the books and come back

There was a few plot holes on how it links into the main films and the cameos were cool. Patrick Stuart looked a bit strange at the end haha

I just watched THX 1138. I didn't have a bloody clue what was going on and nearly fell asleep many times. So after the film i read the plot on Wikipedia, which is a very good plot. But I didn't really get much of it from the film. I hate George Lucas, he ruins my life all the time.

Highlight:

Well its funny you say that actually....cause in the comics it has happened before hahahaha....basically deadpool in the comics had cancer and when given wolverine healing ability it spread to more places then wolvies did, meening his is better! So it has happened before where his head has been detatched and reattatched and he has been fine...well the side effect in comics is that he gets more insane or crazy everytime ... he has had mental instability through some story arks for a while now!

Also rumours are that they will be reattatching the head, taking all of his other powers away to "save him" and we will ahve ryan rynolds back doing a proper wade/deadpool movie, which would be fucking amazing as hes perfect casting! Did you know he didnt even play weapon 11, they had someone else do that
