Postby Von Turbo on Mon Mar 05, 2007 9:46 pm

OK, so I love metal fuckin' hard, but I have to admit that I am very muchly enjoying CSS's new album. Hmmmmm.....

Anyone else out there have a guilty pleasure of some kind?

Phhh...

Where to start?

Pearl Jam, Radiohead, KISS, Jamiroquai, Air... I wouldn't say they're guilty pleasures. I'm not really afraid to admit to liking music other than Thrash any more. Not that every one hasn't been made aware of this fact...

Aaaaahh, sometimes... When I'm all alone, I stick on some power metal. Yeah I finally said it! What a weight off my chest!

Though I don't consider it a guilty pleasure, no doubt you lot will. I like George Thorogood and the Destroyers, sue me.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Wouldn't say I have any guilty pleasures as such just another reason why I'm Boss, but I listen to alot of Happy hardcore, Emo/Screamo/Hardcore/Whatthefuckever-core which I'm sure shares spot number 1 in the "What gay" section from the "How to be metal 101" book :P There isn't alot coming out of metal now that interests me much.

I was lucky enough to see them live last time they were here (though I did book like 2 months before). I'm glad I am not the only one, lol.

So true.

Guilty pleasure? Smash by Offspring? Steve Earle? Woody Guthrie? I don't know, I'm not embarrassed by much.

I think having to label our other areas of taste as 'guilty pleasures' is whats wrong with metal culture.

'Guilty pleasures' is just a catch all term for stuff outside the usual metal box. I could have named the thread "Stuff I enjoy that isn't metal" But guilty pleasues sounded better. I'm not ashamed to dance to Ladytron!

I like lots of music other than metal, lots, and do I feel guilty? Nah! If you like it what does it matter what others think?
