Any good UK luthiers you know that make custom guitars? I'm thinking of saving some money for an unnecassarily nice guitar sometime next year!

lewes has like 10 luthiers or soemthing ridiculous, all of them acoustic though

I dont know of any in the uk, but you could always try Ran guitars.

Have any of you guys seen those "build your own guitar kits"?
If you type it on ebay you'll find one.

They look pretty cool. I've told my bird to get me one for my birthday, (because I'm a cunt) and when I get it, I'm gonna chop it into shape, paint it and have my own custom guitar.

Well, the body is plain wood, so I'm gonna get a mate of mine who's good at painting stuff, to do some art for me... I've still not decided exactly what I want him to paint. I'll probably go with skulls.

Both, the kit guitars are shitty and cheap though and there's only one type

I assume the custom ones are probably hand-built from scratch, there are sooooo many options when it comes to woods/paints/hardware, you can even change the headstock!!! and they all come with a hardcase! some really nice guitars on their site

Cacophony weren't shit either, Friedman and Becker were only around 17 when they recorded/toured it aswell!!! Ninja is an awesome song!! And Concerto, and Speed Metal Symphony!!!
