OK, so the band is not strictly what I'd call "Thrash", but this is definitely fast paced stuff. Their My Space page claims they sound like "Diamond Head on 45", which gave me a chortle. This is definitely one for people that enjoy a bit of speedy NWOBHM ala Avenger, Jaguar, or later bands like Blood Money. Oh yeah, and those of you that enjoy a bit of early 80s Euro Metal, ala Acid.
In fact, I would say that band kills!! Just check out "Redemption Of Might" - great!

They've got Grim Reaper in their top friends, they're amazing! This is fucking cool. Very much like Enforcer (who are, funnily enough, also in the top friends I see). Yeah, this is bloody well rocking my socks off.

Pretty decent, I feel they don't really have their own sound very much, but it's enjoyable stuff!

Well, I listened to Filth Hounds of Hades again yesterday and I still think it's bland.

That is true, I have to say. However, I have got more used to the vocals on repeated listens.
They are due to release these 4 demo tracks + 2 unreleased ones from the same session on a MCD in late March/Early April. Then they will be working on a vinyl version for release.

The albums are pretty bland compared with their live performances back then. I saw them quite a few times supporting Motorhead, Metallica and the like. Members of the audience either loved them or hated them. I loved them.

Re: SPEEDTRAP (FINLAND)
Thanks for the kind words, always a pleasure to share great new, and old, bands with people.
Maybe I should give you a bit of background about myself - I'm Russ Smith, and I am an old git at 45. First gig - Motorhead supported by Sledgehammer at Slough College 1978. The NWOBHM was my training ground, and then I become heavily involved with the Thrash/Power Metal scene in the mid 80s onwards.
I was one of the main initial writers for Terrorizer Magazine till Feb 1997, when I decided to leave. In 1993 I started Black Tears Distribution, which I continue to do as a hobby. Main interests - Thrash, 80s Power Metal, NWOBHM, and classic Doom Metal.
For all of you that have been around a while, you may have seen the "Black Metal Dad" cartoon that Kola from Dark Heresy used to circulate, taking the piss out of me. Strange lad, old Kola

Re: SPEEDTRAP (FINLAND)
Finland's so incredibly unable to produce good heavy metal vocalists ... damn.
I cant sing clean for fuck either...
Quite cool band, cant ever imagine being in a mood where I go "Now I wanna listen to Speedtrap", but enjoyable anyhow...especially now that there's not much on at work.
