Nah, don't think so. 2mm or something.

Still pointless.

I used 1.5mm and 2mm picks for a while when I was 15 or so after I heard Malmsteen plays them but quickly realised your choice of pick and strings doesn't do that much to your ability to play guitar.

You used them to be Yngiwe, I use them because they're comfortable, so...

'You're such unbelievable rubbish' would have been better, then.

Just look at the superior point the Jazz III has, much better for playing with!

How so? I prefer quite a lot of the pick to make contact with the string when I play. If Tortex are good enough for John Sykes, they're good enough for me.

I'm different, i like just the tip of the pick to touch the string to make quicker playing easier, and because they are quite thick pick's you still get a really strong sound out of it. Everyone is different i suppose!

What about for rhythm stuff? I'd crunk my index finger if the pick was too worn down. How long do the Jazz IIIs last anyway? I tend to go through a pick a week or so.

I suppose they are a bit of a bitch for rhythm playing but im used to it now so its weird using anything else. They seem to last a pretty long time though, its pretty good stuff whatever the fuck they're made out of!

I remember seeing jazz picks which were basically glass. I used a metal pick once too but that was just crazy.

I just change my picks once a week because I don't like them worn down. I tend to buy bags of them off eBay so I have tons anyway. I do the same for strings really. I change them about once every two weeks or so. A week if I've been playing a lot. I use lashings of Fast Fret after I play so I could probably spin out the life expectancy of a set of strings to a month+ but I prefer decent strings and I tend to get them for about £3 a set anyway.
