Witchcraft - Chylde of Fire
Black Sabbath - Ironman
Thats a near identical rip-off, obviously a pure homage. and it makes me happy and stifff, everytime.
Now i can't remeber which Witchfinder General song it is, but it ripps off the whole solo section from another Sabbath song, that i have also forgotten! i think its Electric Funeral, where it goes a bit funky and great before the end. Its again a near identical copy, but again done in obvious worship for the original and best.
This is a good thread!

I've never understood it when people say that. Because I really think that isn't true. Apart from the last couple of Oasis albums, which do sound heavily influenced by the Beatles. I mean, it's always been widely known that Oasis as a band were very much influenced by the Beatles anyway, but I don't think the majority of their first few albums sounds much like the Beatles at all (apart from the fact that Don't Look Back In Anger has a very, very similar intro to John Lennon's Imagine). They just look like them. But I really don't think they sound as much like them as everyone says.

Don't forget the hilarious comparison with the intros of Chylde of Fire and Opeth's Wreath!

Also, they chuck in the riff from 'After Forever' randomly in one of the songs from their first album. Can't remember which song.

Priest's 'Devil's Child', Dio's 'Caught in the Middle' and The Darkness' 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love' all start exactly the same.

its the cool sounding riff at 1:42 in shadow of the enemy, but 100% swear i've heard venom playing that riff!!!
Mort and I listened to this together last night, between the two of us we have nigh on 50 years of Venom listening experience and neither of us have the foggiest.

On Deranged "Deranged" album from 2001, the songs "Dead Hand Strangulation" (track 3), and "Incurable", (track 9) have the exact same riff in, only played a little slower in track 3. Don't know if they did it on purpose, they were probably on drugs or something.
