Well, the first new track off the upcoming Chimaira record has been posted on their Myspace:

Drums are immense but i wouldn't expect any less from Anyd Sneap's production. Interesting to hear more Spicuzza keyboards in there than normal but i love the song anyways.

Fucking horrible band.
And "immense" might be one word for the drums, I'd call them totally plastic and fake.

You guys are too old school for me...and i was around when old school was new...
As for the comments on the drums, it is practically the same kind of sound Sneap has used on the last two Exodus albums and i didn't hear a single complaint about them...hmmmmm interesting that.... selective hearing deficiency

the drums sound like they are sampled totally. even the cymbal hits... i know nothing about the band, but i suspect they have a real drummer and dont use a drum machine live... because this is totally sound-replaced / sampled / triggered / whatever you want to call it.
it sounds good for what it is, but its really not my cup of tea.

I think the term for the drums would be "pro-tools". A popular method especially in the early 2000's as used by bands such as Fear Factory, where you record some nice natural drums, slam it into a several grand Mac, load it into Pro Tools and manipulate the fuck out of them until the bass drum sounds like a quantized Black and Decker with ADD.
Pretty gay if you ask me, leave that shit to Gary Numan, what a fucking wanker.
I didn't listen to the song btw.

Please tell, good sir, why Mark Hunter is a faggot??

I haven't been aware of any Emo lyrical themes since maybe Pass Out Of Existence but certainly not any of the 3 releases since. When has a skinhead haircut been classified a "faggot" hairdo?? As for the Hardcore vocal style i would say Mark's vocal style is more Death Metal than Hardcore at present. I think people are overly hard on them for the early direction the band took on their Demo (This Present Darkness) and first full length (Pass Out Of Existence) which were certainly heavily tinged by Nu-Metal and Metalcore. Even the band themselves have said that they were not happy with how the first album turned out and that they shouldn't have pandered to Roadrunner's demands for a record which the "kids" would like.
