its all a little bit video gamey sounding ie:the more recent king of fighters games,and capcom 1 on 1 beat em ups have that kind of japjazz funk sound in some levels.the second clip kinda reminds me a little bit of the streetfighter alpha series music.(its that same kinda vibe in places)

that lad in the clip doesnt do the norths image justice. it seems so bleak to imagine that a pub of simpletons would be entertained by this lad on a themed night.that is rather desperate for all involved ie:pub owner,punters and the lad.
i can imagine the chalkboard outside the pub really heavily promoting the "special" event. and discounted pie,scampi and mushi peas all eve.
only thing thatd get me up for going is the beer prices.

i went to the british legion for a mates 14th birthday.i was tempted to get a gas mask off the wall due to the thick fog of smoke.i could barely see across the room.
it were proper grim.
also a few years later,me and a different mate occasionally joined another mate who lives in a village just outside town,to go see his dad in the "salfords social club".although it was cheap it was full of ill mannered pikey kids ranging from toddlers to teens aka the next breed of degenerates to take the place of their alchoholic,chain smoking,divorced parents all in there as one big happy inbred family.
although there was a pool room and a dartboard and a few fruit machines it still wasnt enough to stop the hillbillys from finding other amusement in the form of arguing/making up/fighting/arguing/girls stirring up trouble/ and just encouraging general hick behaviour every other evening
its sad to see a young kid in there who has been dragged along by their single parent who neglects them by using the old "go out and play on the swings/slide etc" trick.
all the parent wants to do is sit on their arse and get pissed with other football loving old school racist losers,while their kid wonders round taking it all in as "normal" behaviour.so they grow up around drunk,arguing people in a poohole of a building knowing no different.
poor buggers.
but yeah,"social" clubs is quite an apt name for them.
