I have a theory that the world will actually end when Lemmy dies. Luckily he's immortal!

Firstly, you bloody fucking n00b.
Secondly, i hope you get kicked out of Heavy Metal...for good... how dare you say King Diamond has no variety of expression, that's one of his absolute best assets!

Sean Killian of Violence. Took me ages to get used to his singing. I think Tommy Victor of Prong has quite a unique style too. A good and unique vocalist can be the difference between a ban d getting noticed and sounding run of the mill.

But it's true really. King Diamond is unique and good for certain reasons, but compare him to a real singer just on pure technical terms and he will fail. He has other strengths though that are unique and make him amazing and hilarious like no other man. Just to my ears, he can't express a wide variety of emotions, he's not that type of singer. Look at Satan's Fall, even in the quiet bits he's still going mad "ooooooooooh! noooooooo! waaaaaaaaaa! goodness meeeeeeeeee!" He does what he does amazingly, but if he sang Don't Talk To Strangers, he would ruin it.
Now fuck off.

Don't say period, say full stop. Unless you mean a woman bleeding, rather than the American word for full stop.

"Hello. I'm King Diamond, and I'm here to admit to you all that I'm actually having a genuine laugh. I know I sound rubbish and you're all idiots"
Just got that through on email. Nice of him to finally admit it.
Now, has anyone mentioned Ozzy? There's one of the best unique voices in metal. Sometimes I wish I was him.
My favourite unique voice in terms of uniqueness is to be found here:

Havent read this thread propperly til now.
I totally agree with this. Obituary wouldnt be the same without John Tardys vocals. They are prime. I enjoy them the most of the Cause of Death album, and one of the best songs ever, Dont Care. Threres just so much fucking power and nobody does it like him at all, its just too great.
If you listen to early Six Feet Under, its decent, but a bit bland. Now if that was John Trady singing, itd have a totally new energy to it.
