I just don't see why they're held in such high esteem these days. They haven't released a great album for 13 years.

I dont think they are really.

Carnival Diablos was a good one! 2001 that was too. Listen to Shallow Grave and Epic of War from that album. Some of the vocals in Epic of War sound just like Bruce Dickinson.

hmm... bro, I tried both song on youtube
Shallow Grave don't give me a big impress,
but epic of war do sounds decent, [and very maiden, those riffs in the middle]
will try the whole album later to make sure it's worth to get or not

I got Carnival Diablos and Waking the Fury for £8 (they were sold as a 2-in-1 thing) and its just wank radio rock. Its the sort of stuff you'd expect american bikers to listen to in 2001.

Okay okay I stand corrected. Igave 'em another spin the other day and, for what they are, they're pretty good. But they're disappointing when compare to what came before :(

That's a damn good album, one of my favourites from ANNIHILATOR.

Annihilator's first two albums are seriously enjoyable. I does seem that a lot of people leave their love at Alice in Hell but I think the second album deserves at least equal attention. 'Sixes and Sevens' and 'Stonewall' are awesome tracks too.

There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

I've had the Never, Neverland album on constantly in my car, literally for the past 4 months. The only album to finally knock it out of my CD player is Infected Nations, which I can see being in there for a good few months.
Today on the way home from work, I took out Infected Nations and put Never, Neverland back in, but I ended up putting Evile back in after 5 minutes. The new album is soooo good!!

Creeping Dan wrote:amazing. Stonewall is my favourite from that album.

Too fucking right man!!! I can't get past track 4 on this album because once Stonewall starts, I keep putting it back on again when it finishes!!! Imperilled Eyes is the sex too!
