It is ironic that MartinC, the most prolific poster on UK Thrash plays in a band who have always tried to distance themselves from thrash in its purist form. Their latest recording, a two track affair, sees further progression or should that read development of the boundaries.
“Saltergate” is their most unthrash song yet, more melodic black metal if anything, with slight use of keyboards, although the subject material is as far from a frostbitten wood, as possible dealing with football hooliganism! Mid-paced and catchy.
Taking the honours by a mile is “Isle Of Dogs”, which is about as thrash as Heretic get but with a distinct progressive edge. The main riff is very Heretic, unmistakably so, but they’ve adopted a distinct Voi Vod edge to the guitar work: discordant and disjointed, and with psychedelic interludes, this track is a real winner.
New Heretic record - 'Saltergate E.P.' - NOW UPLOADED! FUCK!

Ah well.
That doesn't surprise me in the least! I usually come up with reference points the band in question scratch their heads over.

She has one leg, which reminds me of a joke.
Interviewer: So Sir Paul, you are currently involved in a very public and messy divorce, do you think you'll ever go down on one knee again?
Sir Paul: I'd rather you call her Heather please.
