Dont cut your hair. Enjoy it while you can. I had long hair since i was 13, and had to have it cut a few years back as it was getting too thin. I would have kept my long hair till the day i died i i could have. I now shave my head, and peoples reactions to that are far worse than they were when i had long hair. They either think im a doorman or a thug.
When i had long hair, i only ever had one work related problem, which was when i was refused a job unless i had it cut short (this was as a butchery manager in a supermarket), so i told em to fuck off and got a job elsewhere. I have always been employed in the butchery / food manufacturing industry, and as i always had it tied up and tucked away, it was never problematical. I still miss my hair, but if i hadnt had it cut, i would have looked a proper cunt by now.
Another problem with having no hair for metallers, is when donning corpsepaint for a mayhem or emperor gig, where do u finish the white? Or should you paint your whole head white like a big satanic cue-ball?

Do you shave it right into the wood? If you were going bald and shaved it so as to acknowledge that fact then I think people would, if anything, respect you for it. I shaved my head for ages but didn't really have the skull for it: having played rugby as a lad, you come to realise that all those tackles might have had more effect on the shape your head than previously anticipated.

And to be fair, no one should ever use corpse paint: it looks infinitely more ridiculous than being bald.

Yep, shaved right down. However, as i am 6'4 and have (unintentionally) a permanent frown, i think i scare some people without meaning too
as for corpse paint, it was a bit of a joke and i have never ever worn it or considered doing so, but i remember going to see thus defiled at derby, and one of them was completely bald with corpse paint on, and he had a line where it finished which looked stupid, yet had he done his whole head, he would probably looked even more so.
