The one at Duxford is static yes. 558 is at Bruntingthorpe and has been restored back to flight over the past XX years and is just about ready for it's first flight again. It was supposed to be ready for the Falklands celebrations but it's just not ready. Mind you reading the news about Russia and the missiles and us lot and the imminent 'cold war pt 2' it might end up back in service instead of just air displays. heh.

Lol, well they did send over a TU-95 to investigate us the other day and that has not happened for fucking years! It had to be "escorted" by Tornadoes and everything.

I do love these mad groups of people that keep vintage planes running. I personally would love a Mig-15 or a Yak-23 as i think early jets just look like flying muscle cars.

Speaking of the Falklands though, have you seen that shitty turbo prop thing the Argentinians were using? Don't believe it was their main fighter, but it might have been. I know they had some Mirages but not in great numbers i believe.

Turns out it was an attack aircraft, the FMA IA 58 Pucará. Still a load of shit by the looks of things though.
