Its a good tracklist but why the fuck are Sign Of Fear and Death Trap in there instead of The Ritual and something like Eternal Ban?

This doesn't exactly make me wet. I'm more excited about the new W.A.S.P. album...

I've said it before, but re-recording those classics is totally pointless, especially if they're going to use some faceless modern thrash sound a la the last couple of albums.

That sounds like daft production snobbery to me, what have people got against good production? I understand some modern production ends up sounding too sterile but Destructions last couple of albums have excellent production, its clear but it has bite and edge, thats exactly the way most of the bands in the 80s would have had it if it was available at the time.

Seems They love to re-record their old songs,
they did Two before and now doing a whole album,

I think their old song sounds better with some shitty raw sound
but I will buy it anyway!

I prefer the SOD, IO, and ED production to ANY modern Destruction production by far.

It has character and grit!

I personally don't give much of a shit about production, the old production WAS good considering they were an underground band without a major record label behind them...

I look forard to hearing how they do these new recordings and it'll be nice to hear the lyrics in some of my all time fave thrash attacks!!!!

Death Trap
Total Desaster
Bestial Invasion
Tormentor

FUCKING YEAH!!!!!!!

I don't have any production snobbery. I really liked Tempo of the Damned, for example, because the sound fitted Exodus' riffing style really well. To me, Destruction's most recent albums haven't had any of the (as Tom said) grit and spark that gave their classic albums such great atmosphere. While production values in the 80s may not have been as great/clean as they are today, albums from that period perversely often seem to have a lot more bite and edge because they sound unique. I think Kreator's last album is a prime example of unsuitable, overclean production. It had some great tracks, but the sound just wasn't right - it sounded too reined in.

Having said that, I don't really think much of a lot of the more recent Destruction material heh!

Just got my copy... Its wicked!

Really enjoyable listen and really great energy. The drumming is seriously insane and unrelenting. The vocals are as usual, the fucking greatest on the planet and the guitar and bass is crushing.

Reject Emotions sounds the best at the moment, I recommend this to all the serious thrashers on here.

DESTRUCTION!
