New Years Resolutions

Postby Metalbrew Stu on Sat Dec 22, 2007 3:21 pm

Anyone got any?
I'm considering not drinking or smoking throughout January. I just wanna see if I can really. And I suppose it's the whole detox thing. I don't think it'd be too hard to do, but if it is then maybe that's telling me something. Shall I give it a go? Might as well, it'll definitely save me loads of money.

Get a better job. Simple really.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I might join a gym as well. Although, that's not a resolution, that's just something I need to do to stop being so unhealthy.

To say "no" more often. And mean it.

I find 'detoxes' ridiculous. What's the point of pretending to be healthy for a month and then just fucking yourself up completely again? It's like me saying I'm not going to eat any burgers for a week and then eating one every day the next week to make up for it. Either cut down for good, stop completely, or carry on as normal. But don't lie to yourself about it either.

I'm the same. I always think it's a bit pointless stopping something for a while only to go back to it. From my point of view though, doing this for a month will let me see a) if I can do it for a month (if I can't then it'll be a bit worrying) and b) if I feel any better for doing so, leading to me perhaps making some life choices.

That's my reasoning.

Quitting weed for a month is worth it if you include that in the smoking bracket.

fair enough. I would definitely recommend quitting for a month, the first spliff after the detox is like your first smoke all over again. Br0000talz
