Wakefield bassed thrash band Blood Sweat & Beer (http://www.myspace.com/bloodsweatandbeermetal) got band from 2 venues in york on the 29th january 2011!
Half way through our set the sound guy cut us and told us to get out of his venue right away as we are "too violent and agressive" we ended up been band from two venues as the owner of that venue had another one in the york area, thankfully the crowd was with us and booed him and wanted us to keep playing!
so if your a thrash band stay out york as thrash is too hardcore for them as the theme over there tends to be slow, gothic and shit!

I know a fair few hardcore/metal bands from york and they have quite a low opinion of the scene in their town, sounds like this could be one reason.

Never pulled anyone off stage for being "too violent and agressive" had words with the odd singer for microphone abuse though - bring your own if you want to swing it about and throw it on the floor

Seroiusly though, thats bollocks isn't it, had a kid throw a chair about at a hardcore gig and he got banned from the venue for 6 months and Sinny threaten to beat him up (she's Chinese and the joke is her Dads in the Triads) but she has loads of respect & friends in the local hardcore scene so the kid actually apologised to her when he was allowed back and since then he is the best deterrent as anyone 'misbehaving' gets warmed about Sinny by him - bloody hilarious if you know her

another gig in hull would be sick last time we wo there we played at the hollywood and vine and a riot started out side the venue two police riot vans showed up it was badass
